monikakrasnorada:221bloodnun:221bloodnun:mrskolesouniverse:221bloodnun:Screenshot of what I think this was the first instance of me interacting with anyone else about TRF being the origin of EMP (which I still didn’t have a firm grasp on back in Feb). Afterward, we interacted about the possibility we’re working through the possible scenarios before Sherlock goes off the roof (which would also help Sherlock correct things before they went too far). In the meeting when Sherlock and Moriarty are having tea, unless it’s a prop error, the tea set is wrongand it’s our first East Wind reference (long story short, the East Wind is on the tea set design, and the crown in Moriarty’s cup disappears after he drinks.) Afterward, all the wing graffiti, blue lights, etc start going off the charts. I know in 2014, someone posted a video that suggested Sherlock used the power of suggestion on Moriarty to win on the roof, which I had also included in thinking it might be related to drugs and hypnosis–in the old meta I did related to Stay. That wasn’t the final problem. The end of S4 is our final problem..My concerns about TRF as a starting point of Sherlock’s grand mind trip is somehow more practical. Like John’s blog that stopped updating only after his wedding.I’m so confused My balance has been, for a long time, something like..the starting point is either after Sherlock was shot by Mary or (preferably) after he overdosed on the plane (TAB = his inner issues + the mystery of Moriarty, S4 = Sherlock discovering John’s issues (yes, sounds like multilayered nonsense, but for me it’s the golden mean since I don’t see S4 ONLY from John’s OR Sherlock’s perspective) with a mix of different past events (Redbeard storyline works here, I think, because it definitely doesn’t work through John’s lens) etc.But I always keep in mind the fuckiness of TST (it really looks more like retelling of something that’s happened, than someone’s mind creation).I don’t know anything anymore“My concerns about TRF as a starting point of Sherlock’s grand mind trip is somehow more practical. Like John’s blog that stopped updating only after his wedding.”Yes, but by the ones after MHR, we were already repeating information or giving details that don’t make sense. For instance, The Poison Giant gives us the pearl, and the number six (which has been a thing since ASiB and goes all the way thought S4). Happily Ever After is involving an affair, and the woman being in love with another woman. Then we get The Elephant in the Room, which is elephant code, the thing that shall not be named. The Bloody Guardsman provides John beginning to catch on that Sherlock likes men in uniform, and the curious line, “And, to be honest, we needed a break from preparing for the wedding” (meaning John and Sherlock). The Hollow Client gives us the idea of mirrors, paint to cover up something, media students editing, being drugged, and two men concocting a hoax to thwart someone they believe might be smarter than they are. The Mayfly Man has someone stealing the identity of a person already deceased, which is what Mary does (and why I think she might have a basis in reality, she is also a combination of all the villains in one package). Basically, each case has elements that were used in S3 for the situation between Sherlock, John, Mary, and Mycroft, and then in S4 they were used again in more obvious and dramatic ways. And then of course, in the entry for The Sign of Three (which shouldn’t be a title since apparently they’re still trying to cover up the idea of Mary being pregnant), Sherlock is writing John’s blog and even Sex Holiday uses his initials. We never see evidence that John reclaims the blog from Sherlock. @mrskolesouniverse @monikakrasnorada @the-7-percent-solution @ebaeschnbliah @gosherlocked @swimmingfeelsinajohnlockianpool @sherlockians-get-bored @not-a-bit-good @sherlockshadow @loveismyrevolution @sarahthecoat @leaastf @antisocial-otaku @mrskolesouniverse @kateis-cakeis @holmesianscholar This @intersexmycroft The older thing is linked in at the top. But yea, possible scenarios, and Sherlock deciding Worst Case vs Best Case, and how those would look from his perspective. I’m slowly coming on board with the possibility of EMP starting with the fall. It’s just for me, EMP was never even a consideration- we never even thought to question the reality of the show, until the shooting and the way it all seemed to go off the rails from there. But now, we keep backing up in the timeline, trying to retrofit things, almost as if we are really doing what EMPers have been accused of all along- trying to right the wrongs we see in the show. I don’t know. I’m just so hesitant with the thought.Sigh. Maybe I just need a nap.See, and as you know Moni, I came into S4 wanting answers for things that didn’t make sense in S3. I didn’t really know much about EMP or what all it entailed. I just knew unless something was really wrong with the prop people and editing, then S3 was off as well. Maybe it was just accidents, though. And, we may never know for sure. @monikakrasnorada -- source link
