luciferlaughs: June Robles was just 6-years-old when she was kidnapped by an unidentified man in his car just outside of her own school on April 25, 1934 in Tuscon, Arizona. Later that day, June’s father was handed a note by a young boy who was paid 25 cents to deliver it to him. The note demanded $15 000 for the safe return of his daughter and signed the letter as simply ‘’Z’’. The ransom was later lessened to $10 000, and when her father went to deliver the money at the required location, no one showed up. A few weeks after her disappearance, an Arizona governor received a postcard describing June’s whereabouts in a desert outside of Tuscon. June was discovered alive hidden and chained in a metal box three feet underground. She had been buried for 19 days and was in surprisingly good health. The kidnapper was never found. -- source link
