This was a cool commission because I strayed from the reference in many major ways, which I don’t usually do. The photo ref I got was small, lit with a flash, and compositionaly unfortunate. I invented new placement, new colors, new lighting, new hand, new drapery and pillows, almost everything. It felt good to use my brain for once and come up with artistic solutions. -- source link
