My mom asked ‘Monica, is it outside?’ (yep…). ‘Did you check the weather forecast?’ I said ‘yeah, but they’ve got tents and awnings, so I’m not worried about rain’. Mom says ‘You’re wearing a hoop skirt petti. I’m not worried about the rain either. What about the wind?’ I just gave her this clueless ‘Mom, stay out of my life’ look, and she said ‘fine, it’s your life!’ So, sure enough, it was gusty. I spent the entire afternoon with both arms trying to keep this parachute down. Couldn’t eat, couldn’t drink. Next time I’m wearing a pants suit.Coming home, my mom just spoke to me from the sofa, not even getting up. ‘Pretty breezy today, eh Monica?
