I sometimes bemoan the fact that we post and reblog these pictures all day, and we never actually talk about the photography itself, focus on the composition of a picture, and how it frames the subject. Take, for example, the picture above. It could be half the size, with much more detail on her bound form. But instead, it’s chosen to emphasise her solitude with all that delicious empty space. It’s not dark, or gloomy, but instead starkly bright, with just her casting the shadow.  It’s a window into her mental state, just with giving a few extra inches of nothing above her. And for that, the photographer should be lauded.  -- source link
