trumpet-geek:yellow flowers [bnha, tododeku]rating — mtags — future fic, established relationship, pro heroes, angst and fluff, head injury, blood, post-battle, passing mentions of death, happy/positive endingword count — 3400notes — this fic idea was originally a pitch for icebreaker, but in the end i went with another idea for that zine. however i liked this pitch enough that i wanted to do it anyway, and here we are! i think this is the first bnha fic i’ve written that’s not attached to a fandom event or project, which is wild.Read in full on AO3-Shouto watches as Izuku — nothing more than a crackling neon green blur flying through the air — slams into the side of a building. He hits hard, and the sharp crack of it is enough to make Shouto flinch where he stands, having just finished up his own villain fight. The building crunches and groans.The moment balances on the precipice, and then teeters over the edge as steel and cement start to crumble like dry cake. At first little pieces slough off and ricochet off the asphalt below with a sound like a gunshot, but then more and more of it goes, and Shouto’s world dissolves into a cacophony of grating metal and shattering glass. He turns away from the shrieking mess and throws up a wall of thick ice to try to shield himself from debris the size of cars as the wave comes toward him. It probably won’t do much against the half city block coming down around him, but it’s a habit that’s saved his life before. The noise is so loud and the dust is so intense that he almost doesn’t realize when it’s over — ears ringing and near-blind in the aftermath.All around him, silence. -- source link
