I’d like to say I like my women to have a timeless quality to them, as if they were some statue in a mausoleum, and I was the perverted son of the gravedigger who liked to run his hand over marble breasts. But I don’t mean that, not in the way that I’d jump to if I was asked to define it.  Timelessness isn’t about the fact that you could throw them into the 50s and they’d be the demure pinup that everyone wanted, or supplant them in the 80s where their hair would inflate and everything would be animal print (although lets be honest, when you say someone is timeless you’re not talking about the 80s). No, timelessness is about an unmooring from time, of being separate from it.  Timelessness is being the rock against the tide, watching fashions and fads come and go, seeing each and every one of them and being unchanged by it. Timelessness is a singularity of will, a power of personality.  Put it like that, and I may as well just say I like my women strong and independent. Because they are the ones who have their pride so very high on their neckline. They’re the ones for whom the adage 'pride comes before a fall’ is something I’d love to introduce them to.  I like my women timeless, and I like to tether them to my time, pull them down moment by moment.  -- source link
