I love this piece because it conveys both conviction and remourse from the character without even seeing his face. The way that his arm and body is kind of slumped down shows that he is upset by whoever’s gravestone he is at, possibly deep in thought. But the figure still seems ready to carry on, possibly to avenge his loved one or to carry on their legacy. I strive to be able to convey emotions in my work without merely facial expressions, that is why this artwork is inspirational to me. -- source link
