Can you imagine reciting verses for a good 10 minutes straight by heart? And not just because you memorized that portion for your message but because you meditate on God’s Word THAT much? Because that’s what a pastor did during #FreedomFestPh You could feel the emotion and belief behind each word. PLUS with a mix of Tagalog. He’s not a native, btw. Bible. Boss. . As much as I was trying to take in each verse, I couldn’t help but feel convicted at the same time! Because if I can sing me a ton of early ‘00s R&B, why can I only memorize a handful of scripture? . Jon Bloom of @desiringgod later said, “Everything that’s worth doing is hard… there are great things that happen when you’re in the process of the hard.” . I felt that. That’s real. Because we know that’s not just in memorizing Bible verses. But in anything else we find HARD. . I’m currently inside the gruesome process of the hard and, well, it’s not easy. I tend to want to bust out one of those R&B songs with a good cry. But it’s not a process I’m unfamiliar with. It just looked different a number of ways in the past. . Our God is a faithful One and just how He got you out of those processes before, believe He will help you overcome the process of the hard right now. Allow and accept whatever He wants you to learn during it. There is a purpose behind the pain!
