12.13.14 The year is closing, and time seems to have disappeared before my eyes. I made a playlist from all the music I collected over the past year and I must say, that is one way to give yourself a strange perspective of the memories that were made along the way. I have Wild Child to remind me of the summer days I worked as a dive coach, the Beach House album I listened to over and over again as I drove to college for the first time, and Foxing that brings me to the events of this past month. It’s nearly impossible to describe a year as one thing. It wasn’t good. It wasn’t bad. It was pieces of laughter and parts of disaster that this year was made of, and I am glad to have it behind me. Not because it was terrible, but that I am excited to see who I will be 365 days from now. This is the first time I’ve been content in the longest time, and I’m ready for the new year, challenges and all. -- source link
