mayevenyou:The elves we meet in chapter three of The Hobbit, A Short Rest, are not quite like the elves of Lord of the Rings. (To say nothing of the Silmarillion.) They have a wonderful sort of camp queerness to them, which I’m absolutely sure wasn’t Tolkien’s intention. (But what else can you think when they’re giggling all the time, and making comments like “Bilbo the hobbit on a pony, my dear! Isn’t it delicious!” So, to celebrate the elves of Rivendell, this is a pink, proud cocktail, named with a pun to make you laugh. The dwarves leave Rivendell in the middle of summer, so it’s also full of fruity, summery flavours, to send them on their way. (With pomegranate as a reminder that all summers end.) Tra La La Lolly (Will make different servings depending on the size of your mold.)1 shot sugar syrup100 ml cranberry juice1 shot grenadine, pomegranate syrup or pomegranate juice. 1 shot vodkaMix ingredients, pour into moulds, and freeze. Eat on a Midsummer morning, as fair and fresh as could be dreamed. Photo credit and recipe inspiration : http://www.studentbeans.com/mag/en/food-drink/7-awesome-alcoholic-ice-lollies -- source link
