sofsocialgood: Since 1947, women were barred from voting by local leaders in Mauza Mohripur, a farming village in Pakistan, until 29-year-old Fouzia Talib registered to vote. Her bravery came with a price. Talib was escorted by police and soldiers to the polling booth for her own safety and ostracized by her village.
