Tomorrow we are leaving for a five month art residency in the Academia Belgica in Rome, Italy. We are super-excited about the prospect of spending so much time in the heart of the early Christian world surrounded by so much awe-inspiring art. No doubt we will find much inspiration for Cathedral-in-the-Clouds.We are taking three days to drive from our home in Ghent, Belgium with the intention of visiting Beaune, France to see Rogier van der Weyden’s Last Judgement altar piece, Sainte-Baume, France to explore the cave where Mary Magdalene spent the last years of her life and the cathedral of Pisa in Italy on our way. -- source link
