He tore it down with ease, still conscious of the way Tommy and Carol were looking at him. So as not to draw too much attention to his concern, he flipped it around to face Byers, “What the hell is Alicia doing on here?”“What?!” Nancy turned around and snatched the flyer from his hands, scanning the picture Byers had chosen to distribute around town. It was her yearbook photo from this year, hair pinned behind her ears as she gave the camera a small smile, one of the few ones where she was showing her teeth. The Byers kid shot a look between the two of them, brows furrowing at their behavior, “You guys didn’t hear? Alicia didn’t come home last night. I ran into Mrs. Henderson at the xerox place and she asked me to put these up.”( chapter four, the disappearance of alicia henderson )***Steve stared at the poster he’d snagged from Nancy’s backpack, trying to memorize every bit of information he could now that Tommy and Carol were gone. But he stopped and stared at the ink for a moment. Something wasn’t right. “They’re green.”“What?” Nancy interrupted from her side of the bed, hastily pulling on the clothes she’d shed the night before.Steve paid her no attention, and shook his head “Alicia’s eyes, they’re green not blue, the police got the color wrong.” If Nancy found it odd, she didn’t say anything, or maybe Steve was wrong. But he didn’t think he was. He bit down on the nail of his thumb in deep concentration.
