Rose Red - taking another challenge for @thedollartistscollective was creating another pair of dolls. This time for the Grimm fairytale theme. I’d never heard of the story of Snow White and Rose Red. So I bought a book and did a little research on the internet. A lot of my process when making a doll is research. I used to just create a doll when I first started, but now I do a lot of research. Reading, image research, makeup and outfit research. I create mood boards and only once I have a kind of idea where I’m going do I start working on the doll.
