Changes.Naturally as a boy it disturbed me, yet regardless I indulged my mothers love of dressing me in her wardrobe, as well as the articles of clothing, makeup and hair extensions she bought for me. On her birthdays I would even come to preemptively dress to make her happy. All the while, also quite as you would imagine for a boy in such a situation, I would deeply worry that I was becoming too used to it all. That far from deeply resisting it, there would come to be occasions that I would dress up on my own. It would be when emerging down the stairs from my bedroom, dressed for my own birthday, that my mother, knowing that something had deeply changed within me, was so touched that she burst into tears.
