fortheloveofsubmission: Punishments are NOT fun for either person. Communication is vital and talking it out with a conclusion. In other words ignoring and no communication AS a punishment is NOT acceptable and considered abusive. To punish is fine and we expect this, it helps us grow and be a better person and because you do it out of love and care. After it is completed it is over, not to be held against us and things can continue as usual afterwards. This is what is unique about our lifestyle as appose to the vanilla world, where things get stored up and dealt with in sometimes unhealthy ways (resentments)… our way is healthy as long as a sub learns and is NOT abused by the Dom with and when punished. The most important thing is that a sub learns from the punishment. The Dom needs to do aftercare as well even after punishments. A sub needs to know you still love her and that things will be fine now that she understands where she/he went wrong. Please do not forget the aftercare, we as a sub need it to know we are ok.
