Finally, a post about the chabazite: this fantastic combo of calcite on chabazite features large, clear pseudo-cubic crystals with deceptively smooth faces, nearly all of which actually have incredible etching and patterns, many even visible to the naked eye. This first shot is through a handheld loupe, but @pnw_rocktography has taken some really excellent micro shots which you can see on his feed and on @unearthed.minerals. I just love the look of this stuff, and I’m hoping they went to find more today while I recover from my booster shot yesterday.
