The book is bound in deep purple bookcloth and front papers patterned with peacocks sitting in the branches of a fig tree. The other photos show additional details of the ficbind: the gilded purple edges, the title embossed in gold on the spine, and the brass corner protectors on the front of the book. The ficbind is set against a repeating background of stylised sun and moons. End ID.] Extremely grateful to @punishandenslavesuckers​​ for letting me bind their wonderful fic Carry It Until We Die, which is both one of my long-term favourites as a reader and also just… an incredible fic to take apart when it comes to writing fight scenes, man. I knew if I was going to bind a Mollymauk-centric fic that I wanted it to be as ostentatious as possible, so it took me a while to find the right paper, but I think this is bright enough. Frontpapers are a reproduction of Walter Crane’s Fig and Peacock wallpaper design from the late Victorian period, and I’m really pleased with how well it matches up with the bookcloth. Second attempt at cutting my own vinyl for the spine and managed to get a hold of some brass corner protectors as well, which sets the whole thing off nicely. 265 pages and typeset in Amiri / Brixton Sans Outline Extra photos and design notes under the cut.
