Coach explained to the players that if they were ever in trouble with the police or were pulled over in a traffic stop, to be sure to mention they were scholarship athletes for Coach Johnson. Over the years, Coach had made certain the campus and community police were kept very happy to avoid any trouble for himself or players. This player may have gotten himself out of a ticket, but he didn’t get himself out of those cuffs as the officer stripped him out of his jeans, bent him over the hood of the car and demonstrated quite forcefully the consequences for speeding. -- source link
