cipheramnesia: Patty Boutik is a bit of an odd duck, to my mind. Their prices are not excessively high, but not the cheapest. Their quality is not the best, but still decent for their prices. As usual, find a bunch of their stuff on Amazon. What I’m wearing here is a Patty Boutik sweater-dress (also lilac Sock Dreams N40s) and it’s a good example of what seems to make their clothes distinct. It doesn’t look complicated or distinct, but as Mrs. A said, it’s somehow one of the best looking and most flattering sweater-dresses around. This seems to apply across the board to all of their designs. There are quite a few little black dresses and ruched blouses, but when it comes to a dress that has just that right mix of a flattering design and a simple shape I have yet to find any other LBD at the same price point of Patty Boutik which also look as good. It’s the same story with their other clothes. They sell basic blouses, which shouldn’t be particularly unique, yet which don’t seem to exist anywhere else. How hard should it be to find a top which is fitted around the waist but flattering around the stomach and shoulder? The answer seems to be very, but not in Patty Boutik’s range. Every time I look through their page, I think it always looks too basic, but everything I’ve got from Patty Boutik seems to meet with Mrs. A’s approval. At the end of the day, Patty Boutik seems to have mastered riding the fine art of making uniquely simple designs. Sizing tips, I found I could still fit their XL size when I was at a 38 inch waist, but they aren’t going to go much larger - maybe 40 inches tops. They sell some wraps that might fit larger sizes. Most of their clothes are artificial fabrics, and so you get a lot of stretch, but they heat up fast in the summer. Most of their pricing falls in the $30-$40 range, with some sales going down to $20 and a few above $40. Also pass on anything with lace - most of their work is pretty sturdy, but their lace is cheap elastic that doesn’t hold up to washing. If nothing else, definitely consider a few tops from Patty Boutik, and if you need an LBD you could do a lot worse. in being yourself lies the only true beauty -- source link
