I’ve been photographing Colorado landscapes for nearly 13 years now and this day is by far the craziest light show I’ve ever experienced. An early winter storm rolled through the San Juans dumping loads of snow in the valley. Howling winds made sleeping in impossible, so we crawled out of the tents and ventured up the trail that now seemed impassable.As the storm cleared, several low cumulus clouds remained, but the sunlight managed to sneak through gaps in the clouds leaving spotlights all over the fresh snow. We sat in this valley and watched the dancing light move across the landscape for at least an hour while contemplating if we should continue up the trail after the fresh snowfall.–caseymacphoto.com -- source link
