She knew why she’d almost unconsciously decided to wear it this morning - it made her feel stronger. She noticed how he acted with her wearing it, nervous, tongue-tied. She’d worn it before, soon after she started the job, and had heard the whispers behind her back, the old girls secretly trying to shame her, drive her out. Well, the old girls were all gone now, and she was still here. The old girls were gone and now it was all her girls. So now I’ll wear anything I fucking want, she thought, looking at her closet and seeing all the opportunities.
