I’ve been really busy being Dead… because you murdered me.So… I took a crack at designing a GLaDOS android and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I definitely was inspired by designs like the Borg and SHODAN when designing her, and wanted to really embody that scary but sensual feel that gay idiots like me get from hearing her voiceI don’t think it’s immediately apparent, but her back is composed of a Hardlight Spine, with a gravitational beam connecting the bisected spheres of her torso and her hips. The concept of the android body is just so she can go intimidate and observe test subjects in person from within the observational rooms following the end of Portal 2′s Co-Op campaign. It may or may not also be indicative of her ‘reclaimed humanity’ by the end of Portal 2, but she’d never admit to thatI, for one, welcome the like 7′6 android queen to observe me in her death traps. -- source link
