luciferlaughs: Shortly before midnight on December 6, 1991, a patrolling officer in Austin, Texas, noticed that the yogurt shop I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt! was in flames. He immediately reported it to his dispatcher and in no time, firefighters came rushing to extinguish the blazing shop. When they subsequently stepped inside the shop to inspect the damage, they were horrified to find the nude bodies of three teenage girls piled on top of each other and yet another one resting nearby. All four of them had been shot in the head and were bound and gagged by their own clothing. Police determined that they were likely killed before the yogurt shop was set on fire. The girls were soon identified as 17-year-old Eliza Thomas, 13-year-old Amy Ayers, 17-year-old Jennifer Harbison, and Jennifer’s 15-year-old sister, Sarah. The teens were last spotted alive at the yogurt shop at 10 PM, planning a sleepover for that night. In the aftermath of the tragedy, over fifty people confessed to the notorious yogurt shop murders, including serial killer Kenneth Allen McDuff, but he was soon ruled out of the crime. Finally, eight years later, police thought they found the culprits and arrested four suspects. However, they were later released for lack of evidence. Who the cruel person(s) was that killed the four teenage girls in the yogurt shop and set it on fire is a question that remains unanswered to this day. -- source link
