violesense: Murder Of Natalie Bollinger On December 27th, 2017, Joesph Marino of Adams County, Colorado, called local police after failing to get in touch with his girlfriend, 19-year-old Natalie Bollinger, also stating that his 9mm Glock pistol was missing from his home. The next day, authorities found Bollinger’s lifeless body off Riverdale Road. It was shown that Bollinger had died of a gunshot wound to the head, though she also had a high amount of heroin in her system. According to her family, Bollinger had used methamphetamine and heroin, with an autopsy revealing that she had recent track marks on her arms. Police eventually got Bollinger’s phone records, where it was shown that she had exchanged multiple messages on text and email with a man, 22-year-old Joseph Lopez, who she met on social media. According to Lopez, he found Bollinger on Craiglist, who was allegedly seeking for someone to kill her. Lopez admittedly suffered from violent thoughts and fantasies, so he immediately began to correspond with Bollinger. Lopez picked her up around 11 or 12pm, where the two were trying to find a suitable location. Although Lopez apparently tried to convince her not to do it, she was set on doing so. Lopez initially told investigators that Bollinger shot herself, but changed his story and claimed that he hesitatingly shot her and panicked. Bollinger’s family was obviously unconvinced, remaining adamant that Bollinger never had suicidal tendencies or would have chosen to end her life that way. They also say that Bollinger was hopeful for the future, having applied for several jobs and planned to attend school. Lopez has been charged, though the investigation is ongoing. -- source link
