ahedderick: The wire supports for my tomato vines are fluttering with strips of fabric like Tibetan prayer flags. This is my ‘adhd gardening accommodation.’ If I go get all the strips I’ll need for the summer and park them right where I’ll need them, I will stand a good chance of keeping up on the chore. If I pass a tomato that needs support, but the fabric is in the house or in the shed, I’ll think “Next time I come out, I’ll bring that fabric and tie up the tomato.” Guess what. I won’t. Once I figured that out, I started looking for a way to make it easy to do the things that needs done. Leaving all the strips right by the tomatoes means that, when I see one has grown enough to need a tie, the tie is right there to hand. I can put it on and walk away and not have to REMEMBER anything about it the next time I walk out. The tomatoes appreciate that. I guess. -- source link
