These are some members of Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnak Party) who attended to takeover of the Ottoman Bank on 26 August 1896. The goal of the action was to gain the attention and intervention of European powers in order to stop Armanian massacres. But right after the takeover, Ottoman softas and bashibazouks, armed by the Sultan, began to murder Armenians living in Constantinople. Around 6000 İstanbulite Armenians were murdered.
