Eurybia (Εὐρυβία meaning ‘wide-force’) was the goddess of power over, and mastery of, the sea in Greek mythology. She apparently presided over external forces which influenced the main such as the rise of the constellations, seasonal weather, and the power of the winds. Euryiba was also described as ‘having a heart of flint within her’ and was the grandmother to a variety of deities who also had power over the seas.
