It’s been quite a ride. From left to right: Freyja v1 (1st character), Freyja v2 (2nd character) and present day Astrid. When the first of the adult mods came out (well, slightly after Animated Prostitution if any of you old timers remember that), I remember making all kinds of gnarly shit and uploading them on LL. One thing led to another, and I found myself having a Blogger going on, sharing my twisted, debaucherous fantasies in Skyrim.I’d like to think I’ve improved somewhat in ideas, technique and creativeness from the day I first downloaded an adult mod. And character design, which has no doubt been one of the most enjoyable parts of this journey!Freyja was my very first character (she was wearing the Elven Inquisitor set from TERA. Very unimmersive!), back when I was just starting to figure out the dynamics of blogging. I loved the way lighting worked on her face, it always did cast just the right amount of shadow for most of my shots! I’d say the Maven Blackbriar story (with the two beggars) was and still is one of my favourites, embodying that specific fetish you see popping out ever so often around my blog ;)After that, I began to seek for a more grounded theme, that is to say, creating stories that syncs in the world of Skyrim. At that time, Freyja v2 felt like a good mix between realism and fantasy. Albeit, her outfit did leave little to the imagination. I was satisfied, but not quite there yet!Which brings us to present day Astrid, my proudest (and final) creation yet. It still makes me happy to read messages from people who enjoy her design! Every part of her design was actually elaborately assembled to present what I’d like to see in a hard, ass-kicking, name-taking, mead-chugging Nordic female warrior. For example…The long braided blonde hair, portraying beauty but with equal priority to battle practicality - akin to Scandinavian viking culture, where aesthetics through the art of personal grooming was held in equally high regard as battle ferocity among warriors. The scars on her face and semi-muscular body, signifying a trained body forged in sweat and blood. The heavy shoulder armours, adding width to her upper torso and a pleasing taper to her frame - a classic exhibition of strength and power. The amulet (and headband too) she bears at all times, signifying her proud heritage of Nordic culture and principles.Fun fact! It’s never actually mentioned, but her surname is Skjoldfridr, which is a combination of the old norse words Skjold (shield) and Fríðr (beautiful). Beautiful shieldmaiden. Astrid Skjoldfridr!I wasn’t sure where I was going with this post, but recent posts have got me thinking of my older stuff, and by extension, the characters I’ve made as well as the things I’ve learnt over the years.Thank you for reading! -- source link
