After years of never hiking off Highway 80 in the northern part of Lake Tahoe, I finally made the trip. A few weeks ago we hiked Mount Judah on the Pacific Crest Trail. And while you are technically hiking the mountain of a ski resort, the views and the trees were gorgeous. We arrived just in time for alpine spring in July when all the wildflowers are in bloom. There were so many colors and types of wildflowers I had never seen before. And while our summer hiking has now come to an end, I look forward to a few autumn and winter hikes in the area. -- source link
