hazelharlot: ladylaurasaurus: jessysaurusrex: And what, pray tell, do you have for girls who grew up without Daddy? And I don’t mean in the “Daddy is deployed, he’ll be back soon” kind of way,” not the, “Mommy and Daddy divorced, but he gets you in the weekends” kind of way, I mean the “Daddy abandoned you when you were seven and never ever came back again” kind of way. Daddies don’t hold the keys to every little girl’s heart. My Daddy is not the person I will “forever love the most.” My Daddy gave me no blessings, and was never, ever, ever a gentleman nor the protector of my heart— he was the first man to break it, though. I’m hung up on “inexistent” and also the awkward cadence created by lack/misplacement of commas. Furgh. I’m gonna go right ahead and agree with both of those. Needed this on my blog. I keep reading this as a sub/dom relationship, which makes it really confusing for my tired brain. - The Girl -- source link
