IF 24&prim
IF 24′s “Miracle Card”There’s another between now and the penultimate episode of the season, but seeing the preview caps for IF 23 and thinking of 24′s title, a couple of things clicked.Though Shuka’s goal all along has been to Realize Majesty Lord and Aichi was able to execute that in dragging him against her and Emi’s group, it’s only a route of the Blasters’ tale. Crucial in halting Destiny Conductor, Majesty Lord brought about Ren’s downfall only in the original continuity, and an alternative —Exculpate — served the same purpose in the manga/Reboot’s own Psyqualia arc, making him a candidate for opposing Aichi in his strongest form while sticking to the Blaster-heavy theme. In a roundabout way, it could almost be a reflection of the two continuities colliding, perhaps what Suiko’s reading about the original foreshadowed (Perhaps there could even be glimpses further connecting the two). Majesty Lord Aichi vs. Exculpate Kai With Aichi’s Psyqualia factoring into his warped state and having Majesty Lord on his side, it’s a natural guess that to meet his level, an extra step in power is required to meet his level: Blaster Blade’s personal evolution, as a symbol of his, Emi’s and Kai’s resolve as well as reflecting that of the Outside World Aichi’s, the alternative who embraces Vanguard; the potential that IF Aichi could achieve if he stops resisting. Kai putting everything he knows on the line for the sake of rescuing someone who has done the same for his sake, remaining pure to his well intentions in the face of Aichi’s distorted, is signified in the touch of darkness across Majesty Lord where Exculpate’s colour palette remains true to Blaster Blade’s. Exculpate is described by Aichi is Riding him as “the light that will rewrite the world of darkness”, directly opposing the twisted status-quo that Aichi now fights to maintain; a world that is darkness and loneliness, of which an enormous power will be required to overcome and reform where he is liberate from the shackled he restricts himself through, the responsibility lying on the shoulders of the very figure originally responsible for releasing them.In the original continuity, Majesty Lord was responsible for draining Ren of the overwhelming force that had twisted him, and it’s possible that in joining with Aichi, he serves as a counterweight to Aichi’s uncontrollable distortion and the subsequent effects it’s had on his personality/existence. The irony of Aichi wielding this particular sword is the acceptance of his darkness and Psyqualia when using it against Ren in the 2011—2012 season but vehemently rejecting part of (another) him. There is some wonder in my mind if, like Suiko learning how Aichi acquired Alfred, if he might become aware of Majesty Lord’s formation and use in the Nationals fight against AL4 or if Majesty Lord may drain him of the same taint once he’s been rescued.Majesty Lord symbolises duality, whereas Exculpate is a singular entity, built upon Blaster Blade himself, so to reflect his and Kai’s reaching for a level beyond natural reach would be suitable in order to meet Majesty Lord/Aichi on the same level. They both rely on another power to Superior Realize their unit, though it’s possible Kai might bring about his unit’s card, whereas Aichi was reliant on Emi and Shuka to seize his. When Riding Exculpate against Ren, Aichi described him as “the beacon Kai gave me”, being an extension of Blaster Blade, the unit that has always been instrumental in saving Aichi, such as the original Psyqualia arc and Legion Mate to return him back from the brink. Being the one who instilled the concept of imagining himself stronger and Vanguard/Cray, Kai Superior Realizing Exculpate and becoming a physical representation of this culmination simply makes sense; the Kai that Aichi always envisioned as strong when focusing his energies onto the older rather than himself manifests right before him and fittingly serves as the barrier between the current state of affairs and achieving his ultimate goal, hearing from Kai directly his acceptance of sacrificing himself and his world in order to return his borrowed happiness to the Sendous and their friends. If Majesty Lord’s awakening is a miracle, then so, too, must there be another to match it. The idea of evolution has reared its head recently; the conversation with Mamoru and Superior Realizing The End may have served as foreshadowing to playing a part in the final confrontation, acting on when Kai viewed moving onto the battlefield as a personal step. Though his line of growing stronger has been to move beyond Royal Paladin for Kagero (both in his childhood and Legion Mate), it makes sense that he would utilize Blaster Blade, a return to roots that he has routinely done, and with all he represents between Kai and Aichi as well as trying to restore it.Usage of Exculpate would also build upon Suiko’s “we move forward” sentiment to Kourin, particularly being she pointed it applying to Aichi; to attain such a goal, a sacrifice may/will be made (Shuka and/or IF). Similar to Dragonic Overlord’s evolution into The End at the cost of himself, the result could/would be the irreparable rupture of IF’s illusion, just as Exculpate retires and sacrifices his more powerful form, returning to Blaster Blade — leaving behind the image and the card for Kai to pass onto Aichi as fate determined. The stronger and older Kai and Aichi vanish in order for their younger selves to traverse their path, aided by the remnant left behind in the Blaster Blade card by Exculpate’s, and their, departure. Also did someone say Long Hair Kai? -- source link
