I met Hillary in northern Virginia today! This signing wasn’t on her original schedule and my dad just happened to see an advertisement for it in The Washington Post, so this was a huge blessing. I really had tried to plan what to say, but when I got up in front of her I became SO incredibly overwhelmed with emotions and nerves. I managed to look into her eyes and tell her, “Thank you so much for everything.” She thanked me, and smiled, and held my hand – I’m a little upset that due to the intensity of the moment, I can’t remember all the little details, but one thing I do remember vividly is the color of her eyes and how shockingly blue they were. Looking back on it, I kind of felt just like Bill the first time she came up to him in the law library and he couldn’t remember his own name because he was so taken back by her. She is so beautiful and so stunning and so intense – I can’t even fully describe it. I wish I had managed to tell her more – even just a sentence more – but given the circumstances it didn’t quite pan out. Reflecting back on it, though, I don’t think I could’ve managed in just 30 seconds or so to tell her how much she means to me. My dad did say that he could tell how emotional I was when I spoke, and I kind of felt that she could feel it, too, so that’s all that matters. The bookstore was super strict about no pictures and so none of us got to take any at the event, though there was media there so maybe some will emerge later. Her niece Fiona was also there helping pass out books, which I thought was cute. All in all, even though I didn’t get to say exactly what I planned, seeing her in person was incredibly surreal and I will really value that moment forever. -- source link
