Some wip pics for that old art where The Ranger’s crew buys the Nassau brothel and Vane and Anne take a nap while Jack looks at them fondly :) It took me a long time to figure out what I really wanted with this idea and how to make it work. The finished art started to make rounds again and it reminded me that I had a wip process somewhere in my drafts and it might be interesting to see (and I think I haven’t shared it yet? I could be wrong but thought that I might as well do it now lol)… Anyway, the first sketches were made around July 2017 and I let it be alone for months after that. Occasionally I would continue or re-draw whole parts of this but always got stuck with something or lost interest. I finally finished it around spring/summer 2019 with new enthusiasm as I had learned things through my other works and still loved this idea and wanted to see it completed. I still like some of the earlier wips (and even maybe prefer some compositions more) although some parts are quite clumsy.Click pictures for slightly better viewing and the alt text.
