bemusedlybespectacled:luckyladylily:girlbossjodiarias:tami-taylors-hair:British transphobes have graduated to claiming that bisexual women are tainted by our association with men and thus change the “vibe” of women-only spaces. It’s true, every time I walk into the room, I’m also bringing the spirit of every man who’s been inside my vagina. They live up there like lil ghosts. This people are genuinely the goofiest dumbest bigots. Considering the fact that some lesbians have previously had relationships or children with men, this kind of thing is especially gross. Like, this is also punishing some lesbians for having lived through internalized homophobia/lived in very hostile and unsafe environments. This specific seed of biphobia was one of the fundamental building blocks of radical feminism and everything that came after. The idea that maleness taints everything it touches, even theoretically. Notice how it is not a woman that brings a man or even talks about a man, or even has had a relationship with a man. The mere possibility that this woman might someday be interested in a man means she destroys the sanctity of a sapphic space. Also, the idea that a bi woman wont give a hard and final “no” to men while in a sapphic only space is disgustingly prejudice. Bi exclusionism, dangerous violent terfs, women like JKR. All of it starts with this idea. This is not even remotely new. I am 100% certain that I’ve got discourse over a biphobic article by Julie Bindel in the recesses of my blog from like 2012. I remember around that time there was also a different article that had the really disgusting implication that sex with any bisexual cis woman who wasn’t either a virgin or political lesbian was inherently worse because you “don’t know where it’s been” and penises make vaginas unclean. It’s all the same shit, over and over again. -- source link
