Despite her mild confusion, her feet carried her naturally over to the couch. “Um, hello? Who am I speaking to?”“Hey,” a voice, strangely soothing and increasingly familiar to her by now, responded without hesitation. “It’s me, Beca.”In response, an almost coy smile pulled onto Chloe’s lips as she lowered to the couch to resume her earlier position. “Didn’t I already talk to you today?” She questioned playfully.“I mean, I can go if you want,” Beca shot back, the playful tone evident in her voice, too.“No,” Chloe grinned, head shaking gently. “It wasn’t a complaint.”“Good.
