And as the light falls, the walls light up with it. This isn’t rocks. It’s some kind of vegetation growing on the cave’s stone, and it lights up gold as the light passes it. Medusa gapes. With the fog still protecting her from fear she edges towards the cliff, watching as the light keeps falling. She loses sight of it before she’s certain it hits the bottom.“How deep is this place?”“No one knows,” Artemis says with a grin. She sits down, swinging her legs off of the edge of the world. Some tiny, rational part of Medusa’s mind tells her this is dangerous, but the fog silences it. And with only a slight prodding from Artemis—patting the rock beside her—she sits down too.“No one knows, or no one’s checked?”“Same thing, isn’t it?” She looks over Medusa, her eyes lingering on her snakes. She reaches out a finger towards them, and the nearest ones reach back, tongues flickering over her finger. Artemis giggles. Actually giggles. It’s such a startling, cute sound that Medusa blushes. “I think they like me.”“Of course they do.” This was such a pleasure to draw!! I am in love with your writing, plus these two are exactly my cup of tea so like! This was a joy! -- source link
