He’d going to the party expecting the night to be fine but nothing noteworthy. His interest and those of the 20 year olds still active in the fraternity just weren’t the same. But it was nice to be waited on even if he didn’t Own the young men offering their services. He was sitting back enjoying his cigar and brandy chatting with some of the other Owners when he walked in. He sat up and studied the man as the active brother made his way around the room talking with his fellow actives at the party. He just watched him and waited for the younger man to turn his way. He knew the moment the active saw him. The active blinked and then just stood there, unable to look away. He kept eye contact as he rose and walked toward the active, everyone else parting before him until he was standing in front of the active. He started talking in a low voice, just for the two of them. The active listened then started responding, a nod here, a shake there, a one or two word response as needed. Then the Owner decided it was time to give the still unowned man one last choice. Either stay at the party…or follow him up stairs. The Owned man followed his Owner. -- source link
