When I tell the class I want silence, I mean exactly that and I don’t want to hear whispering from anywhere in this class room. I am the only one now authorized to speak. Since Robert and Michelle don’t understand the concept of silence they will get a private lesson in the difference between noise and silence. You both have earned a detention with me where you will have the opportunity to make quite a bit of noise - I promise you that! And then you will sit down and remain absolutely still and quiet until dismissed. By the time your detention period is up, I trust I would have burned into your two heads what I mean, when I *ask* for silence! Now unless we have company for Robert and Michelle we will continue with my lesson planned for today. Michelle you’re really trying my patience. You can save the tears for when I give you due cause to cry at the end of classes today! -- source link
