It breaks my heart, it truly hurts me to my core, when I see Black women degrading and demeaning their men because they think that is the way people are supposed to communicate in a relationship. Black women think nothing of trying to make their men feel stupid, humiliating them, talking down to them. They’ve internalized this, “I’m a strong, Black woman,” mantra to mean that they can be mean and insulting with no consequences. No one has taught them what it takes to be in a relationship, to be loving, no one has ever told them that they should be loving, supportive, and nurturing so they have embraced this reality show mentality that says that they can say any foul, hurtful, mean, and taunting thing and that they man in their life will take it and won’t complain and won’t leave them. We are doomed if we can’t form loving, healthy, mature relationships. Lord knows Black men are not perfect. They have a whole host of issues that need to be addressed. But women thinking that they can degrade men just for breathing is symptom #765 that we are diseased as a people. -- source link
