The Simpsons Movie (2007)This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.The Simpsons Movie has brief strobe effects related to electrical shocks in a flashback scene. A character screams in pain a few times, and starting with the third scream, the strobe effects are reflected on another character’s face. The same effect happens later as a man throws a Molotov cocktail off-screen. As the power goes out at a bar, the lights flicker off.There are multiple scenes of peril at extreme heights.Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 3/10.TRIGGER WARNING: A character convulses while having a vision in church. A child is shown fully naked. One child spends the entire film deconstructing their abusive upbringing, and some of the abuse is shown.
