As would be the case for any boy, it would have horrified me earlier in my childhood, if I had known, gradually over time, the things I would get used to, and how I would come to be. Everything was ultimately of course, down to what mother wanted. So I would get use to my hair growing longer than what was appropriate for a boy. How when I would be home from school, mother would have me have my hair down out of my ponytail, and she would so love apply makeup to me. Makeup which would become gradually more elaborate over time, as she would teach me along the way. Over time, my typical boyish resistance to it would lessen, eventually taking an interest in doing it myself.How gradually, in full effect, I hadn’t realized how at that time, to all appearances, I had come to look like a girl so much so, you wouldn’t have thought it possible I was actually a boy.
