turnbullephemera: Commercial artist George Bridgman was one of the top designers at the National Publicity Studios. He came to New Zealand in the 1920s and joined the staff of Filmcraft as an artist. Later, in 1936 he joined the Government Film and Publicity Studios, and subsequently became the Art Director there. This poster uses the latest popular style - flat areas of colour, in this case quite distinctive colour combinations, with no blue sky in sight.
