The Semovente M41 da 90/53. One of the better Italian self propelled guns. The cannon itself was an Anti Air gun (Common theme that) and fired a 22lb/10kg shell. For comparison the the German 7.5cm guns used 14lb shells, the Tiger I believe 20lb and of course the British had the 17lb shell. Now 22lbs is a lot of weight for a shell. This could be a very powerful gun (if I could find penetration tables for the damn thing, I assume it close to if not better than the German 8.8cm L/56. Only problem this has for Girls Und Panzer is that its open top and all but 8 rounds for this thing was kept in a separate ammo carrier which was another light tank converted. Anchovy I’d be proud of that gun too, its great. Shame the chassis was underpowered, prone to break and generally a nightmare. Can’t have it all I’m afraid. -- source link
