Silver Heart III. Oxidised sterling silver, garnets and sapphires. 5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm. . This was the third heart that I had cast, and I went for a more experimental approach. The wax had not been quite hot enough when I slip cast it in the silicone mould, so pour marks and gaps were evident but I like them very much. I embellished the edge of the open face with lots of garnets and tiny black sapphires, mostly to see if cast-in stones would work on something this size.
