I have had a busy few days, so I deeply apologize for slacking on Shelter Pet a Day. Both of my rats passed away, so today I am bringing up a wonderful rat we adopted in 2011 in their honor. Meet Saki. She was probably the greatest rat we have ever had and she was from the Humane League of Lancaster where I used to volunteer. Saki would come when called, was allowed free roam because of her great listening skills, and was very outgoing and friendly. She loved anyone she met and was a very intelligent rat. I can safely say she is deeply missed by the entire family despite it being years since we lost her.This is just a personal story on how awesome shelter animals are - the big and the small. Shelter pet a day, day 33 -- source link
