How destroying USPS is going to TAKE AWAY ALL OF OUR VOTES.You saw that right. It isn’t some conspiracy. Here’s how it works:If there is no USPS, there is NO vote by mail.- That means if you work a lot, EVEN THOUGH there are laws saying your job has to give you time off to vote (only an hour or two), what happens if you, say, live in Florida- where voting lines can be up to SEVEN HOURS LONG?!  - What if you work, and your job violates the law and threatens to not let you off? That’s *nice* that you can take them to court… IF you have the money (but let’s be honest, if you’re reading this, you don’t.) and that lawsuit will likely go nowhere, and you will be tied up in court for a year or two, and you will probably lose. IN THE MEANTIME you have bills to pay and probably kids to feed. Sorry about that job. Should have thought about that before voting. BUT IF YOU COULD VOTE BY MAIL- oh, but you can’t! USPS doesn’t exist anymore! - What if you’re disabled? Voting by mail is relatively painless. It reaches everyone who can’t drive, or get a ride. Anyone who isn’t safe to stand or sit for hours outside in lines in the heat or cold, anyone who can’t get to a polling place because of disability can now vote… by MAIL. No mail, no vote.  - What if you’re elderly, and it’s hard to get around? See above. - What if you’re trans or NB? Maybe you don’t match your ID photo so well. Maybe dressing differently to match it gives you severe dysphoria, and your job or your other life aspects are in jeapordy if you risk doing this to vote. Maybe you physically CAN’T because you’ve already transitioned pretty far physically, or had surgery. What do we do? VOTE BY MAIL… until now. ^^^ me recently VS me when my ID photo was taken. add my glasses to now and I put on another 10 years. If the “wrong” pollworker decides that I don’t look like my ID, s/he could decide that my vote is fraudelent and not let me vote in person. There is nothing I could do. Voting by mail saves me from that. This is a grab for power from the most disenfranchised people in America. The ones who stand to overthrow the ones making the most off of us. DO NOT LET THEM. DO NOT STAND IDLY BY. By the $11 roll of Forever Stamps if you can (they’re good until the post office collapses, even if that takes 200 years), and tell your Congressmen to go to hell keep USPS. -- source link
