The hats in these images from our visual collection are so fabulous that maybe we’ll deem today Fashion Friday. In the top image, Colonel Lee D. Cady and Colonel Charles Puestow, Americans serving in France during WWII, meet with French foresters in preparation for a wild boar hunt in Mirecourt, France on March 8, 1945. And on the bottom, a volunteer at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (whose hat is extremely elegant!) sits at the piano with two patients in 1954.
