For the last several months, but also for the last four years, I’ve been working on an art piece I’ve been calling the Witch Houses. The house shaped shadow boxes have been thrifted, and I fill and arrange and decorate them with witchy miniatures I’ve collected in nature, or found in antique stores, or repurposed. Each house has a theme that has emerged over time, or appeared in a dream, or come from a fairy tale. The finished works will be on display at @recspec.gallery for WITCHES, opening reception October 13th. I am also co-curating the show.
